We were lucky enough to fly Adelaide to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific in business class. The flight time was 8 hours and 45 minutes and we were on an Airbus 330-300. I had seat 14G.
The new business class seats with Cathay Pacific are very well designed for maximum comfort and privacy. The seat configuration is 1 // 2 // 1, meaning everyone has direct access to the aisle which is very, very nice.
Pro’s
Excellent choice of movies and tv shows to watch on your own private, adjustable screen.
Quality earphones.
The choice and quality of the inflight meals were excellent.
Excellent inflight service from hostesses.
A very nice amenities kit for each passenger in business class.
You can earn Qantas frequent flyers and status on these flights with Cathay Pacific.
When it’s time to sleep, the seat folds out to a fully flatbed that is 82 inches long.
The flight from Adelaide to Hong Kong is direct in both directions. It used to have a stopover in Melbourne in one direction.
Con’s
No real negatives, maybe just a few comments.
The departure of this flight is at 6.20 am (4 am for check in)
The end of the bed goes under the seat in front, so there is not much wiggle room for your feet.
As a rating, I would give Cathay Pacific Business class
Seat 5/5
As a bed 4/5 (needed more room for my big feet)
Inflight service 5/5
Inflight meals 5/5
Inflight entertainment 5/5
I can highly recommend Cathay Pacific Business Class and can’t wait to travel with them again.
Nice flight report. Is there a bar area?
