The Hotel Pullman Legian Nirwana is a new 4 ½ star beachside resort in Legian with over 350 rooms, spread out over different buildings that are separate by tropical gardens and a nice garden pool. Across the road is Legian Beach which is well suited for families with life guards, surfboard renters and plenty of sand to play in.
The shopping area of Legian which is full of bars, restaurants, market stalls and heaps of shops offering everything and anything that you can buy in Bali is located right next to the resort. We found this location to be excellent as most nights we just went for a walk and ate, shopped and got our feet massaged at the end of the night, (for a total cost of $AUD7.50 per person for an hour massage)… it was paradise.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite (as we have 2 adults and 3 kids in our family… always tricky for accommodation purposes…) and it was massive.
One room had 2 single beds, the other a king bed and an enormous separate loungeroom, where they placed a rollaway bed. There were 2 large bathrooms with walk in showers and separate baths. The furniture in the room was modern with a touch of Bali, wooden floors and plenty of windows for light. We had a large balcony with garden and street views.
The hotel has a main restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner; they also have a poolside café for lighter meals and snacks. There is a pub in the lobby, plus bar at each pool. Breakfast each morning is a feast, with lots of western and Asian options, plus fresh egg station and pancakes. The tropical fruit selection was out of this world as you would expect in tropical Bali.
A few of the days we enjoyed pizza and club sandwiches by the poolside, which were always fresh and tasty.
Travelling with kids means having a pool is very important.
Lucky the Pullman had 2 pools. The largest was in the gardens and had a heap of sun chairs and places to sit in the shade.
The showpiece of the Pullman Resort is the infinity pool on the roof, as it has amazing views over Legian Beach and the beautiful Balinese sunset each night.
This pool is smaller and has less deck chairs as it’s on the roof, however it’s the place to be at sunset as they have a DJ mixing music and the view are to die for.
All in all we loved the Pullman and would highly recommend it for any families travelling to Bali.
