They say getting there is half the fun, and flying Qatar Business Class certainly lived up to this mantra!

Business Class seat.
Route: Doha to Amsterdam
Flight number QR 273
Date: 27 October 2015
Time: 6 .10 hours
Plane: Boeing dreamliner 787
Seat: 2a business class
The seating configuration in business class with Qatar Airways in their new Boeing Dreamliner is 1 seat by each window and 2 seats in the middle, meaning each seat has full ailse access and is very private.

Configuration of Qatar business class.
The Dreamliner is the newest boeing plane, with a very open and airy feel.

Larger windows.
The ceiling is higher and the windows are twice the size as other planes, making the cabin very light and fresh. Each window has 6 settings of shade, that can be set by the press of a button.

The 6 settings of shade for the windows.
Tecnhnolgy at its best.
Pros
Best inflight service I have ever experienced, better than Qantas, Cathay Pacific and Emirates. The attention to detail was excellent. Upon sitting down, the flight attendants give you a full debrief of your chair, offer you a drink, an amenties kit, pjs and the choice of a hot or cold face towel to freshen up.
The flight attendants were very helpful and friendly, all seem to come from China and Thailand.

… food…!
Great selection of food on the menu and you can dine when you want.

Menu options.
Full member of One World Frequent Flyer program, so you can earn Qantas frequent flyer points and status credits.
Fully flat bed, making for a very comfortable place to sleep, big pillow and quilt.

Flat bed, quilt and pillow.
Good sound cancelling headphones.
Excellent selection of inflight newspapers and magazines.

Amenities kit.
Comprehensive amenities kit and pj’s offer to all passengers in business class.
Cons
The inflight entertainment was a little limited, with only a small selection of movies – Emirates, Singapore Airlines and Qantas offer a wider range (100’s more choices).
Doha Airport is a little unorganised and not as user friendly as Dubai or Singapore. Also, the Qatar Business Class Lounge is a lot smaller than Emirates or Singapore Airlines, with a line for the shower and toilets and limited food options.
